What is homosexuality?
Homosexuality is a sexual orientation characterized by romantic and sexual attraction to people of the same gender. It is one of the three primary sexual orientations, along with heterosexuality and bisexuality. People who identify as homosexual are often referred to as gay or lesbian, depending on their gender.
It is important to note that homosexuality is not a choice or a lifestyle; rather, it is a natural aspect of a person's identity. Homosexuality has been observed in many different cultures throughout history, and is not considered to be a mental disorder or a pathology by most medical and psychological organizations. However, due to social and cultural stigmatization, discrimination, and oppression, people who identify as homosexual often face challenges in their lives, including marginalization, prejudice, and discrimination.
